Marjorie Maas was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and moved to California in 1997. While in California she lived in both the Bay Area and Santa Barbara.
Marjorie graduated from Santa Barbara City College in 2010 with an Associated Degree in Economics. From there she went to California State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business of Administration. To improve even more on her education, Marjorie completed a Master of Business Administration from California State University in 2015.
Marjorie’s professional experience encompasses a variety of industries such as Tourism and Hospitality, Construction and Development, and over ten years in manufacturing. She is also a freelance accountant and bookkeeping consultant on the side.
Marjorie has been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for the last fourteen years and Maui has always had a special place in her heart. She loves the people, the culture, and the Aloha spirit. Marjorie and her husband, Eric, moved to Maui in 2016.
In her spare time, Marjorie practices yoga and meditation and enjoys hiking and spending time in nature. She is deeply inspired by the words of Mahatma Gandhi “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Gandhi reminds us that life is limited but learning in infinite, and so Marjorie encourages Maui Prep students to experience life to the fullest and not postpone life-enriching opportunities while striving to become life-long learners.
